the merc with a mouth! he's supposed to have healing abilities akin to Wolverine, but is still plagued with burn scars...hurm. well, in any case, i figured having half his face fried off would put that healing factor to good use.

One thing I never understood about Deadpool is that since he has a healing factor as strong as Wolverine's, why doesn't he just undergo a surgery where he has the burnt skin taken off to have new unscarred skin grow in it's place?

because his skin would grow all messed up again because he have cancer and he is constantly losing and regenerating cells and no ,his healing factor is not the same as wolverine's ; he heals depending on the severity of the wound

To be honest, they extracted that healing factor from Wolverine. Only Deadpool's is so strong that even when his head gets cut off, he can heal it back on. Talk about power! Plus, this whole painting lkinda reminds me of Jason Voorhees. I mean, just look at it.

His skin is like that because that's how the healing factor reacted to the cancer in his body. Which is the reason he was given the healing factor in the first place. ^^
